Before booking a private catamaran in Cartagena
The best quote is the one you can understand and compare. These six questions help you define your outing and avoid surprises before making a payment.

Compare the same route and duration; confirm the group size covered by the price; ask for inclusions, exclusions and extras in writing; and pay only after you receive the applicable booking terms and availability confirmation.
1. Is the boat private or shared?
Ask whether the quote reserves the whole catamaran for your group or sells individual seats. Also confirm the permitted number of guests for the specific boat and whether the quoted rate covers everyone in your group. A maximum capacity is not necessarily the number included in a starting rate.
2. Which route and duration are you comparing?
Name the destination and the length of the outing before comparing prices. In MAVI’s current offer, Cartagena Bay can be a shorter outing from two hours, while the Rosario Islands and Cholón are full-day options. A full-day bay outing is another option. Ask for the proposed departure point and the actual schedule for your date.
3. What is included in the total?
Request an itemized quote. Check the boat, captain and crew, fuel, ice, taxes and dock fees, then ask which items are excluded. Mavi Soul’s published rates include those listed items; drinking water and other beverages are excluded. Do not assume another operator offers the same terms.

4. Which extras would you like?
Food, an open bar, a DJ and professional photography may change the total. For Mavi Soul these are optional services quoted separately. State what your group needs and ask for each extra to appear clearly in the final proposal.
5. What happens after you request a date?
A form submission or message is an enquiry, not a confirmed reservation. Ask the operator to confirm availability, the sailing plan, the payment schedule and the applicable terms in writing before paying. For Mavi Soul, the published information says a 50% advance payment is required after availability is confirmed; check the current quote for the exact terms.
6. What if the plan changes?
Ask for the terms that apply to changes, cancellations and weather on your date. Request them in writing with the quote rather than assuming that a general FAQ or another company’s policy applies to your booking.
